Our company was assigned by Hamburger Hungary Ltd. to ensure a high capacity groundwater supply (few tens of thousands m3/day) reservoir for the company’s paper mill in Dunaújváros.

During the first phase, we utilized two methods of ERT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) to localize gravel sediments of the Danube. We carried out 3.65 km of onshore ERT and more than 12 km of offshore dynamic ERT on the Danube River.

In case of possible water supplies in the deeper zones we made VES (Vertical Electrical Sounding) measurements with the total length of 7 km. Our measurements were carried out on both banks of the river and on the river, during the winter of 2019.

Our results were promising and we were able to narrow the research area for Phase II.
