Contracted by Lawand Engineering Ltd., our company carried out near-surface geophysical measurements in the harbour area of Trieste in order to identify various anthropogenic and geological features. Places of Seastok and Teseco were surveyed with ERT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) and high-precision RTK GPS in the second half of January 2019.
Our aim was to assess geologically the area and localise possible pollutant zones. Our measurements helped to evaluated the local geology, localize saltwater intrusions from the sea and identify polluted zones and dump sites for remediation.
