Water and thermal water exploration
Geophysical methods have great history in the water exploration and in the thermal water detection as well, however these methods are not sensitive to the presence of water. This is because the main object of the surveys is to delineate subsurface bodies or fracture zones where water can be deposited in the pore space. The knowledge base of this profession has been collected for almost 100 years, therefore geophysical water exploration has become considered as a reliable method. Of course, without any exploratory borehole it is hard to find a particular aquifer relying only on land geophysical survey. But geophysics can decrease the cost of the exploration as setting the exploration borehole became easier with geophysical data.
